Delete your account and data

Delete in the app

If you can access your account, follow these steps:

1. Open Police Here and sign in.
2. Open Settings and select “Delete account”.
3. Type DELETE in the confirmation field. Enter the current password when needed; passwordless accounts may require a recent session.
4. Confirm deletion and wait for server confirmation. Do not assume deletion succeeded after an error or loss of internet.

Request without app access

Email contatc@policehere.com with the subject “Police Here — account and data deletion”. Include only the account email and request type; write from that address when possible.

Ownership must be verified before deletion. Do not send passwords, codes, coordinates or private links. Opening or sending the email does not automatically delete the account; wait for support confirmation.

Data removed

Deletion removes identifying profile data, contacts and links, access permissions, personal preferences, phrases, last location, push token, credentials, sessions and emergency records. Contact links stop working.

Only a blocked opaque-ID technical marker without name, contacts or location remains to prevent recreation by requests already in progress.

What cannot be immediately recalled

Messages already received by contacts cannot be deleted by Police Here. External providers and any backups follow their own retention policies. Expired verifications may remain until maintenance.

Partial deletion failures may block the profile to protect location. If confirmation is missing, contact support to complete removal.

Remove a contact without deleting your account

In Contacts, remove a person to revoke their link or revoke the last shared position. Stopping an emergency ends live access but does not delete the account or invalidate links of contacts still registered.
